What is fat transfer?
Fat transfer, known medically as lipotransfer, combines two steps in a single procedure. First, the doctor gently removes fat from areas where there is an excess, and then, after processing, injects it into the area you would like to fill or reshape. Because your own tissue is used, there is no need for silicone implants. What is more, the treated areas behave naturally, like the rest of your body – if your weight changes later, they change in a similar way to your other fat reserves.

The procedure
Fat tissue is gently harvested from selected areas using special laser devices such as MPX and BeautiFill. The removed fat is immediately filtered and purified so that it is ready to be applied to the target areas. The fat is then injected into the breasts, with no visible incisions required, ensuring a natural look without scars.
Aftercare
After the procedure, the patient should limit physical activity and get plenty of rest. Compression garments are recommended for the areas where liposuction was performed, as they help reduce swelling and support healing.

Which areas can be enhanced with fat transfer?
Lipotransfer is most commonly used to enlarge and shape the breasts. Your own fat can also be used to contour the buttocks or to restore volume in the face. The doctor will assess the suitability of a specific area during the consultation.
Will all of the transferred fat remain?
Some of the transferred fat cells are naturally absorbed during healing. How much tissue remains varies depending on the extent of the procedure, the area and individual factors. The doctor takes this into account when planning and, if necessary, may divide the procedure into several stages.
Will the procedure leave scars?
Both the harvesting and the injection of fat are performed with a cannula, so the procedure does not require any visible incisions. The doctor will explain the details of healing to you at the consultation.
How long is the recovery?
We recommend a few days of rest and avoiding physically demanding activities. The fluids used during the procedure are absorbed over approximately 14 days to 3 weeks. The doctor may recommend compression garments for the liposuction sites.
