Card lipolyza

Injection lipolysis

A non-invasive method for reducing smaller localised fat deposits, for example under the chin, on the hips, abdomen or inner thighs. The active substance helps break down fat so that the body can eliminate it naturally. The treatment is always preceded by a consultation with a doctor.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Injection lipolysis is suitable for women and men who want to reduce smaller localised fat deposits without a surgical procedure such as liposuction. It is particularly suited to areas where fat persists despite a balanced diet and regular exercise – typically the area under the chin, hips, abdomen, inner thighs or the chest in men. It is not a weight-loss method but a subtle refinement of specific areas. The doctor will assess whether the treatment is suitable for you at the consultation; if you take blood-thinning medication, discuss stopping it at least a week before the treatment with the doctor who prescribed it.

What is injection lipolysis?

Injection lipolysis is a method in which the active substance phosphatidylcholine (lecithin), derived from soya, is injected into the subcutaneous fat. The substance helps break fat cells down into smaller particles, which the body then gradually eliminates naturally. Fat loss is gradual and even, so the result can look natural. The treatment can also stimulate collagen production, helping to improve the firmness and elasticity of the skin in the treated area.

What does it address?

  • Double chin
  • Hips and abdomen
  • Inner thighs
  • Male chest

How the treatment works

The doctor injects the active substance with a fine needle directly into the layer of subcutaneous fat in the treated area. Phosphatidylcholine helps disrupt fat cells and break fat down into smaller particles, which the body gradually processes and eliminates. To increase effectiveness, a dermaroller with sufficiently long needles can also be used in some cases. The effect is not immediate – fat is broken down gradually over the following weeks, and the first changes are usually visible about four weeks after the treatment.

To achieve the best result, 2–4 treatments 6–8 weeks apart are usually recommended. The exact number depends on the area being treated, the amount of fat and how you respond to the therapy. If you maintain a stable weight after completing the series, the result can be long-lasting, as the eliminated fat cells do not regenerate in the treated area. Non-invasive mesotherapy is also available to address the appearance of cellulite; the doctor will decide whether to include it at the consultation.

Course of the treatment

At the consultation, the doctor will assess the area to be treated, your health and any medication you take, and suggest a suitable number of treatments. The procedure itself takes about 30 minutes and requires no anaesthesia – injections with a fine needle are usually well tolerated. The doctor gradually injects the active substance into the subcutaneous fat across the entire treated area. You can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment. The next session is usually scheduled 6–8 weeks later, as recommended by the doctor.

Aftercare

Shortly after the procedure, the treated area may become red and slightly swollen, and some clients develop minor bruising. These effects usually subside within three days. To support fat breakdown, we recommend drinking at least two litres of water a day and including plenty of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in your diet. Regular exercise is also beneficial. At your next visit, the doctor will evaluate your progress so far and adjust the treatment plan if necessary.

Benefits of the treatment

FAQ

Is injection lipolysis painful?

The treatment does not require anaesthesia. The active substance is injected with a fine needle, and most clients find the injections tolerable or only mildly uncomfortable.

When will I see the result?

Fat is broken down gradually, and the first changes are usually visible after about four weeks. The result continues to develop over the course of the treatment series.

How many treatments will I need?

2–4 treatments 6–8 weeks apart are usually recommended. The doctor will determine the exact number according to the area being treated and the amount of fat.

What effects may appear after the treatment?

The treated area may be briefly red and swollen, and minor bruising sometimes appears. These effects usually subside within three days and do not prevent normal activities.

Can I have the treatment if I take blood-thinning medication?

The use of blood-thinning medication must be discussed with the doctor who prescribed it. As a rule, it needs to be stopped at least a week before the treatment, and only with their approval.
