Laser acne treatment
Acne can appear in adolescence as well as adulthood and often leaves unwanted marks on the skin. Laser therapy makes it possible to treat both active acne and its after-effects, such as small scars and redness. Depending on the condition of your skin, the doctor will individually choose treatment with a vascular or fractional laser.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
Laser treatment is suitable for adolescents and adults with active acne, i.e. inflamed red spots and pustules, as well as for those who want to improve the appearance and texture of skin with acne scars. Acne is now increasingly common in adulthood too and tends to be long-lasting, so it is important to tailor the treatment to its severity and extent. The face, back, neck, décolletage and other affected areas can be treated. Before treatment begins, there is always a consultation with a doctor, who will propose an individual approach.
What is acne?
Acne is an inflammatory condition of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles. It usually first appears after the age of ten and most commonly accompanies puberty, but it increasingly affects adults too. It typically affects the face, back, neck and décolletage, and sometimes the outer sides of the upper arms. Treatment tends to be long-term and is always adapted to the severity and extent of the condition. Modern laser and device-based methods can be a useful complement to standard care.
What does it address?
Active acne
Post-acne redness
Inflammatory lesions
Acne scars
Uneven skin texture
Body acne (back, décolletage)
How the treatment works
The approach differs depending on whether we are treating active inflammation or its after-effects. Acute inflammatory lesions are treated with a high-power laser, often combined with biostimulation devices that support the skin's natural processes. For acne scars, a CO₂ laser or fractional and microneedle radiofrequency is used to support skin renewal and improve its texture. The doctor always chooses a combination of methods according to your skin type and the severity of the acne.

Course of the treatment
At the initial consultation, the doctor assesses the type and extent of the acne and any scarring, and proposes a treatment plan. Before the treatment, a numbing cream is applied to the treatment area to reduce discomfort. The laser treatment itself may feel like slight stinging, while biostimulation is completely painless. Several sessions are usually needed to achieve the best result; their number depends on the severity of the acne and your skin type.
Aftercare
After the treatment, temporary redness, mild swelling or small scabs may appear, especially after CO₂ laser treatment. Redness and swelling usually subside within a few days. Biostimulation generally requires no recovery time. Throughout the course of treatment, it is essential to protect your skin thoroughly from UV radiation with creams containing a UV filter and to follow the home care recommended by the doctor.
Benefits of the treatment
- Treats active acne as well as acne scars.
- A combination of methods tailored to your skin.
