What are mesothreads?
Mesothreads are very fine, bioabsorbable threads that are inserted into the subcutaneous tissue. The method is also known as Fine Thread Contour Therapy. The threads form a delicate supporting structure in the skin and at the same time act as a stimulus to which the body responds by supporting its natural processes, including collagen production. The material is gradually fully absorbed – according to available data, in approximately 6–8 months – leaving behind a collagen network that helps support the skin.

How mesothreads work
Once inserted beneath the skin, the threads provide delicate support for the tissue. New collagen gradually forms around the absorbable material, contributing to firmer, better-looking skin. Course of the treatment
The treatment is preceded by a consultation with the doctor, who will assess the condition of your skin and propose the extent of application. A numbing cream is first applied to the treatment area to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. The doctor then uses fine needles or cannulas to insert the threads into the subcutaneous tissue along pre-planned lines. The whole procedure takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the area treated and is performed on an outpatient basis, so you can go home once it is finished.
Aftercare
Mild redness or swelling may appear after the application, which usually subsides within a few days. You can usually wear make-up again after about 12 hours. In the first few days, it is advisable to take care of the treated area, not to massage it, and to avoid saunas and strenuous physical activity. Protect your skin from the sun.
