WHAT DOES IT TREAT?
The microneedling procedure
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, and before it begins a numbing cream is applied to the treatment area for maximum comfort. The selected area is then treated with a special handpiece fitted with microneedles, delivering targeted energy to the deeper layers of the skin. The treatment itself takes approximately 30–60 minutes depending on the extent, and once it is complete you can return to your normal activities with minimal restrictions.
AFTERCARE
After the treatment, the skin may be red and sensitive; these effects usually subside within a few days. It is advisable to care for the skin gently, avoid make-up for at least 24 hours and limit sport, saunas and direct sunlight for a few days. Consistent protection of the skin with a high-SPF cream is also essential.
