Skin resurfacing
Skin resurfacing is a modern laser treatment aimed at renewing the skin's surface, improving its quality and evening out its texture. At our clinic we use both fractional CO₂ and erbium lasers, with the doctor always choosing the appropriate technology according to the condition of the skin. The treatment stimulates collagen production and helps to improve the overall appearance of the skin.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
Skin resurfacing is suitable for women and men who wish to improve the quality of their skin and address signs of ageing or other aesthetic imperfections. We recommend the treatment for clients with fine or deeper wrinkles, acne scars, pigmented spots, uneven skin texture or signs of photoageing. It can also be used to improve the appearance of stretch marks and other minor skin irregularities.
What does it address?
Wrinkles
Acne scars
Pigmented spots
Photoageing
Stretch marks
Uneven texture
How does skin resurfacing work?
During the treatment, the laser creates a network of microscopic points in the skin, with intact tissue remaining between them. This principle supports the skin's natural renewal and the production of new collagen, helping to improve the quality, texture, firmness and overall appearance of the skin. The intensity of the treatment can be tailored to the skin type, the area being treated and the concern being addressed.
Course of the treatment
Every treatment is preceded by a consultation with the doctor, who assesses the condition of the skin, discusses the client's expectations and recommends the most suitable approach. The consultation also includes an assessment of any contraindications, so that the treatment is safe and suitable for the skin type in question. Depending on the extent of the procedure, local anaesthesia may be applied before the treatment for greater comfort. The treatment itself is performed on an outpatient basis and its duration depends on the size of the area being treated.

After the treatment
After laser resurfacing, the skin is usually red for several days and may gradually peel. The recovery time depends on the extent of the treatment and the individual response of the skin. During the healing period, we recommend moisturising the skin regularly, using the recommended home care, consistently protecting it from sunlight with high-SPF products and following the instructions of the treating doctor. The results develop gradually over the following weeks to months, as the skin naturally renews itself and collagen production is stimulated.
Benefits of the procedure
Supports natural collagen production.
Smoother, healthier and firmer skin.
Treatment tailored to your skin's needs.
Outpatient procedure with no hospital stay.
FAQ
What is the difference between a CO₂ and an erbium laser?
Both lasers are used to resurface the skin, but they differ in how they work and in their intensity. The fractional CO₂ laser tends to be chosen for more significant changes in texture, the erbium laser for gentler, more targeted treatment. The doctor will always recommend the appropriate technology at the consultation.
Is the treatment painful?
Depending on the extent of the procedure, local anaesthesia is applied before the treatment to increase comfort. During the procedure you may feel a sensation of warmth or stinging.
How long does healing take?
The skin is usually red for several days and may peel. After a more intensive treatment, the area may be temporarily covered with a special dressing, which is removed at the follow-up appointment. The overall healing time varies from person to person and may take several weeks.
When are the results visible?
The result develops gradually over weeks to months as the skin renews itself and produces new collagen. Its extent varies from person to person and depends on the condition of the skin and on following the aftercare instructions.
What should I be careful about after the treatment?
Consistent sun protection with high-SPF products, regular moisturising and the care recommended by the doctor are essential. Do not rub the treated skin; let it peel naturally.
