Breast enlargement with implants
Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure that uses breast implants to increase volume, adjust shape or correct breast asymmetry. The choice of implants and their placement are tailored to your anatomy and the desired result.
Who is the procedure suitable for?
Breast augmentation is suitable for women who wish to increase the volume of their breasts, adjust their shape or correct a marked asymmetry. The procedure can also help with loss of breast volume after pregnancy, congenital shape abnormalities or revision of the result of a previous operation. Suitability for the procedure is always assessed individually, taking into account the client's health, anatomy and expectations. The operation cannot be performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, nor in the presence of an active infection or certain breast conditions.
Implant types and sizes
Breast augmentation uses silicone gel-filled implants, which differ in shape and size. You can choose between round, anatomical (teardrop) or ergonomic implants. The choice depends on your anatomy, body proportions and the desired result.
What does it address?
Small breast volume
Loss of breast volume
Breast asymmetry
Shape abnormalities
The procedure
Breast augmentation is usually performed under general anaesthesia. During the operation, the plastic surgeon makes an access incision, most often in the inframammary fold, around the areola or in the armpit, and then places the implant beneath the breast gland or partially beneath the pectoral muscle. The incision site is chosen to keep scars as inconspicuous as possible. The specific surgical technique and the type and size of the implants are determined individually according to the client's anatomy and wishes.

Post-operative care
After breast augmentation, it is important to follow the recommended rest regime and your plastic surgeon's instructions. In the first few days, you may experience pain, swelling, increased sensitivity or a feeling of tightness in the breast area, which may persist for several weeks. During recovery, you must avoid strenuous activities and gradually return to your normal routine according to how your healing progresses. A return to work is usually possible within a few weeks, depending on how physically demanding your job is. Post-operative care also includes follow-up check-ups and following your doctor's recommendations.

FAQ
From what age can I have breast augmentation?
The procedure can be performed from the age of 18, when breast development is complete. Other requirements will be assessed by the doctor at the consultation.
Can I get pregnant and breastfeed after augmentation?
Augmentation does not affect the course of pregnancy or foetal development. However, pregnancy and breastfeeding can change the shape of the breasts, so it is recommended to plan the procedure roughly one year after you stop breastfeeding.
How is the implant size chosen?
According to your figure, height, chest width, skin quality and your wishes. Implants of 200–300 ml are used most often; sizes from roughly 100 to 1000 ml are available.
How long is the recovery?
An elastic bra is worn for six weeks. Desk work is possible after about a week, and full physical exertion after a month.
How much does breast augmentation cost?
Prices start at CZK 50,000 and do not include the cost of the implant. The doctor will determine the exact amount at the consultation.
