Kryolipolýza – liposukce zmražením

Cryolipolysis – fat-freezing liposuction

A non-invasive method that uses controlled cooling to damage fat cells in localised fat deposits. The body then naturally eliminates them via the lymphatic system. The treatment requires no anaesthesia or recovery and is always preceded by a consultation.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Cryolipolysis is suitable for women and men bothered by localised fat deposits that do not respond to a balanced diet or regular exercise. Areas that can be treated include the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, back or arms – areas that are difficult to shape through exercise. The method is not intended for overall weight loss, but for targeted contouring of specific areas. Before treatment, there is a consultation at which the doctor will assess your skin, the amount of subcutaneous fat and your health, and recommend a suitable number of sessions.

What is cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis makes use of the fact that fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the surrounding tissues. The device cools the fat layer under the skin in a controlled, gradual way, damaging the fat cells without affecting the skin or surrounding tissue. Over the following weeks, the body naturally eliminates the damaged cells via the lymphatic system. Because destroyed fat cells do not regenerate, the result can be long-lasting with a healthy lifestyle.

What does it address?

  • Abdominal fat
  • Thighs and buttocks
  • Back fat
  • Arms

How the treatment works

An applicator is placed on the area to be treated and cools the fat layer in a controlled manner. The device is equipped with two applicators, so two areas can be treated at the same time. Up to four areas can be treated in a single visit, in which case the total treatment time is approximately 140 minutes. The damaged fat cells are then gradually broken down – the first results are usually visible after about a month, and the full effect develops over one to three months after treatment.

The effect of cryolipolysis can be enhanced by combining it with acoustic shockwave therapy. Five shockwave treatments are recommended: the first takes place immediately after cryolipolysis, followed by four more once a week. Shockwave therapy can speed up the breakdown of fat cells, stimulate collagen production and help firm the skin. Cryolipolysis itself is usually carried out in one to three sessions 6–8 weeks apart; the doctor will set the exact plan according to the area being treated and your goals.

Course of the treatment

At the consultation, the doctor will assess the areas to be treated and suggest the number of sessions. On the day of treatment, a specialist places the applicators on the selected areas and starts controlled cooling. The treatment is performed in a comfortable position, requires no anaesthesia, and you will mainly feel cold in the treated area. Two areas can be treated at the same time; treating four areas takes approximately 140 minutes. Once the procedure is over, you can return to your normal activities straight away. If a combination with shockwave therapy is recommended, the first shockwave treatment follows immediately afterwards.

Aftercare

Cryolipolysis requires no special recovery period, and you can return to your normal activities immediately and without restrictions. To support the results, we recommend drinking plenty of fluids, exercising regularly and eating a balanced diet – although destroyed fat cells do not regenerate, if you gain weight, fat can be stored in the remaining cells. For maximum effect, the treatment can be followed by a series of five acoustic shockwave sessions. The doctor will recommend the timing of any further cryolipolysis session, usually after 6–8 weeks.

Benefits of the treatment

FAQ

Is cryolipolysis painful?

The treatment is non-invasive and requires no anaesthesia. During the procedure, you will mainly feel cold in the treated area. You can return to your normal activities immediately afterwards.

When will I see results?

The first results are usually visible after about a month. The full effect develops gradually over one to three months as the body naturally eliminates the damaged fat cells.

How many sessions are needed?

One to three sessions 6–8 weeks apart are usually recommended. The doctor will determine the exact number according to the area being treated and the amount of fat.

How long does the treatment take?

The device has two applicators, so two areas can be treated at the same time. Treating up to four areas takes approximately 140 minutes in total.

Why combine cryolipolysis with shockwave therapy?

Acoustic shockwave therapy can speed up the breakdown of fat cells and stimulate collagen production for firmer skin. Five treatments are recommended – the first immediately after cryolipolysis, followed by four more once a week.
