Hyaluronic acid fillers

Injectable fillers help fill wrinkles and folds, restore lost volume and subtly reshape the lips or cheekbones. The application takes a few minutes and you can usually return to your normal activities the same day.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Fillers are suitable for clients who want to soften wrinkles and folds around the nose, eyes, mouth and lips, or restore volume in areas where it diminishes with age. They can also be used to subtly contour the lips and cheekbones, support sagging facial contours, correct a receding chin or improve the appearance of tired skin and certain scars. Every treatment is preceded by a consultation with the doctor, who will assess your facial features, explain the options and propose an approach aimed at a natural, balanced result.

What are injectable fillers?

Injectable fillers are substances that are injected beneath the skin to fill hollows, wrinkles and folds. They are most often used in the nasolabial folds, the lines running from the corners of the mouth to the chin and around the lips. The tendency to certain wrinkles is partly hereditary, but with age they are also deepened by gravity and the gradual loss of skin firmness. Besides smoothing, fillers can also restore volume and subtly shape areas such as the lips or cheekbones, helping to create more harmonious features.

What does it address?

  • Nasolabial folds
  • Wrinkles around the lips
  • Lip volume
  • Cheekbones
  • Receding chin
  • Sagging contours

How the treatment works

The doctor delivers the filler material to precisely defined points using a fine needle or a blunt cannula. Placed beneath a wrinkle, the filler lifts the skin and thus visually evens out the hollow. In areas that have lost volume, such as the lips or cheekbones, it helps subtly restore shape and support the contours of the face. The doctor chooses the amount of material and the application technique individually according to the area treated and the result you wish to achieve, always with an emphasis on a natural look.

Course of the treatment

After the initial consultation, the doctor marks the areas to be treated and prepares the skin. The application of the filler itself with a fine needle or cannula takes a few minutes. The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis and you can go home once it is finished. Mild redness or small bruises may appear at the injection sites, which usually subside within a few days. The result fully settles within about two weeks of the application, when you and the doctor can assess whether a minor touch-up is advisable.

Aftercare

No recovery is needed after filler treatment and you can return to your normal activities almost immediately. Any redness or small bruises at the injection sites usually disappear on their own within a few days. Make-up should be applied no sooner than twelve hours after the treatment. Do not press on or massage the treated area unless your doctor specifically advises you to. The final effect settles in approximately two weeks. If you experience an unusual or prolonged reaction, please contact your treating doctor.
