Laser tattoo removal
A tattoo that no longer matches what you want does not have to be permanent. Thanks to modern laser technology, unwanted tattoos and permanent make-up can be gradually removed. The laser targets the pigment in the skin, which is then broken down by the body's natural processes. The number of treatments depends on the nature of the tattoo and how your skin responds.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
The treatment is suitable for anyone who wishes to get rid of an unwanted tattoo, regardless of its size or location on the body. It can also be used by clients with permanent make-up that they would like to remove or lighten, for example before a correction or a new application. The specialised pigment laser can also be used on some congenital or acquired pigmented spots, such as age spots, sun spots and freckles. The suitability of the treatment is always assessed by the doctor at the initial consultation.
How many sessions are needed?
The exact number of treatments cannot be determined with certainty in advance. It depends on the type and amount of pigment, the method and depth of its application, your skin type and how the skin heals after each session. A more reliable estimate can usually only be made once the first or second treatment has healed. Sessions are generally spaced approximately 3 to 6 weeks apart, so that the skin has enough time to regenerate and the body to clear the broken-down pigment.

How the treatment works
The specialised laser emits very short, intense pulses of light that are preferentially absorbed by the pigment particles in the skin. The energy breaks them down into smaller fragments, which the body gradually clears by natural means. The surrounding skin is affected only minimally. Because the pigment breaks down layer by layer, the tattoo fades gradually and a series of treatments is usually needed for significant lightening.

Course of the treatment
The treatment is preceded by a consultation with the doctor, who assesses the tattoo and your skin type and recommends the next steps. Depending on the sensitivity of the area, a numbing cream may be applied before the procedure. During the procedure, the patient's eyes are protected with special goggles. The treatment itself is quick; patients usually feel stinging and burning.
Healing process
Scabs form on the treated area during healing and usually fall off on their own within 5 to 10 days. Do not pick them off; let the skin heal naturally. Sun protection with UV-filter products is important, as it helps to prevent hyperpigmentation and other complications. Keep an eye on the treated area and contact the doctor if you notice anything unusual. The next session should only be scheduled once the skin has fully healed.
Benefits of the treatment
- Treatment of tattoos of any size or location.
- Permanent make-up can also be removed.
- Quick outpatient procedure.
- An individual plan based on your skin's response.
